CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WDTV) -- The deadline has begun approaching for victims of late July flooding to apply for FEMA disaster assistance. The deadline to apply for assistance is October 17.
FEMA has been offering disaster relief in multiple ways to those affected by severe flooding, landslides and mudslides July 28-29.
Those in need of disaster assistance can visit one of the Disaster Recovery Centers, located in Marion, Marshall and Wetzel Counties to register for assistance.
You can also register with FEMA by calling 800-621-3362. Those using 711 or Video Relay Services can call 800-621-3362 and TTY users can call 800-462-7585.
Another way to register is by going to disasterassistance.gov.
