UPDATE: Two people have been taken to hospital after house fire in Grafton

Fire on Apollo Avenue in Grafton. 2 people were taken to the hospital for their injuries.

TAYLOR COUNTY, W. Va. (WDTV) - UPDATE: 10/11 @ 12:36 a.m.

According to Deputy Fire Chief, Ryan Roberts there was a heavy fire in the front of the home. He said they were able to contain it into two rooms of the house. The fire has since been put out.

Grafton Fire Department, Flemington Fire Department, Fellowsville Fire Department, and Boonsville Fire Department were all at the scene.

Roberts said the homeowner was in the house at the time of the fire.

Officials say a bystander entered the house to help get the homeowner out. They were both transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

According to Roberts, he was told by the emergency squad that the two people are in good condition.

Harrison County dispatch confirmed there is an active house fire on Apollo Avenue in Grafton.

Dispatch says crews are on the scene.

Authorities say there were minor injuries and two people were transported to Grafton City Hospital.
