HARRISON COUNTY, W. Va. (WDTV) - The Bridgeport conference center was host to dozens of local vendors for their first market of the new year.
Everything sold at the market is locally sourced and supports over a dozen different small businesses in our state including farmers and artists.
The organizers behind the market say they hope this even is an opportunity not only to support shopping local but also to support the community.
"It's really all about supporting West Virginia," Amanda Workman, a volunteer for the board behind Bridgeport's market, said "a lot of community members see it also as a way to reconnect with friends,"
During the winter the market is held the second Sunday of every month.
The next market is February 10th.
