A man from Florida was sentenced to 10-25 years in a state penitentiary Friday for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman in Morgantown.
Prosecutors say Timmy Crockett will also be under an extended supervision period of 10 years after he serves his sentence. He also will have to register as a sex offender, the prosecutor's office said.
He was found guilty by a jury on June 27 for sexually assaulting a woman while she was unconscious in Morgantown in March 2018.

A Florida man was found guilty Monday for second-degree sexual assault.
Timmy Crockett was arrested for sexually assaulting a woman while she was unconscious in March 2018 in Morgantown.
According to Monongalia Prosecuting Attorney's office, the Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Gabrielle Mucciola, requested that his bond be revoked.
The request was granted by the judge, Phillip Guajot.
A Florida man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a female at her apartment.
According to the criminal complaint, the victim went out to downtown Morgantown with two men in March 2018. The victim left with one of the men to go back to her apartment at the Domain.
According to police, the victim blacked out. When she woke up, she felt someone pushing her legs back, kissing her neck and inside her.
The victim asked the man to stop and to get off of her.
Police say that that after investigation, the man was identified as Timmy Crockett of Florida.
Crockett has been charged with sexual assault in the second degree and is currently being held at North Central Regional Jail.
