WESTON, W. Va. (WDTV) - Glenville State College and Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital are partnering on a special project. Officials from both the school and the hospital signed a Memorandum of Understanding, on Friday.
They say this will provide educational opportunities to students through internships in every department, as well as providing classes to employees at the hospital.
"We get to know the students, and they get to know us. We're here for the right reasons," said Avah Stalnaker, SJMH CEO.
"This is a program that is going to give our students a change to have internships, give them a chance with real work experience in a professional setting," said GSC President Dr. Tracy Pellett.
GSC is also working on starting a nursing program in the future.
