Gov. Justice makes Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve into full-day holidays for public employees

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WDTV) -- Governor Jim Justice has declared Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve as a full-day state holiday for public employees.

Justice issued proclamations Monday making changing the two days from half-day holidays to full-day holidays.

“In recognition of the hard work accomplished throughout the year by our public employees, it is fitting and proper that they spend an extended and enjoyable holiday with their loved ones,” the governor said.
