Governor Justice signs roads bill

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WDTV) -- Governor Jim Justice signed the one part of the budget plan he supported, Thursday, that being the state road fund plan.

The money comes by raising the floor on the average wholesale price for gas, creating a registration fee for cars that do not use gasoline, increasing the sales tax on vehicle purchases and increasing DMV fees.

The law will go into effect July 1 of this year.

Before signing it, Justice said it's "landmark legislation" that will "bring employment like crazy."
