UPDATE: Hundreds still without power, most to be restored by Thurs.

Hundreds remain without power in the area after weekends storms brought high winds.

According to an update from Mon Power, power should be restored to the majority of their customers by 11:00 p.m. Thursday.

277 customers are still without power in Lewis County, according to Mon Power. 187 of them are in Horner. Power is expected to be restored to parts of the county by 7 or 7:30 a.m., according to Mon Power's website.

Additionally, 58 customers in West Union are in the dark until around 7 a.m.

More than 5,000 households in West Virginia are without power this morning. 2,400 of those are in Hampshire County.

According to Mon Power First Energy's outage map, more than 1,000 households were without power as of 12:30 a.m. Wednesday possibly due to severe weather including high winds.

More than 600 in Preston County also experienced outages. About 140 Lewis County residents are also experienced loss in power.

All were expected to be restored within a few hours by 2:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.
