CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WDTV) — Two hotels set to be sold Thursday are in the middle of a court battle. Lawyers for the company that owns the defaulting hotels have filed notice of a federal appeal over their forced sale.
It's reported that Mountain West Hospitality has asked for a stay. The group intends to appeal this week's order by a judge denying permanent and temporary injunction over the sale of the properties.
Lawyers say they want to take their case to the court of appeals.
The Hampton Inn in Elkins is set for sale at noon, Thursday. The Hilton Garden Inn in Clarksburg is to be sold at 3:30 p.m.
