Overnight and early morning rain showers have caused major and minor flooding across many counties in North Central West Virginia.

Governor Jim Justice has issued a State of Emergency for Barbour, Braxton, Gilmer, Lewis, Pendleton, Pocahontas, Randolph, Tucker, Upshur and Webster Counties.

Multiple roads remain closed and some evacuations have taken place in areas of high water.
