BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WDTV) -- Icy roads are causing problems throughout North-Central West Virginia for drivers and officials are stressing the importance of using caution on the roadways.

Parts of White Hall in Marion County were sheets of ice this morning; an accident on I-79 near the White Hall exit had traffic at a near-standstill in the early morning hours. Nobody was hurt in that accident.

Marion County 911 listed several roads with reported icy conditions on its Facebook page.

North Mountaineer Highway (Rt. 92) in the Reedsville area was closed due to multiple accidents as of 8:30 a.m., according to Preston County 911. They said Route 7 was at a standstill in the Reedsville area.

There also reported several accidents on Kingwood Pike this morning involving cars sliding off the road into ditches.

Preston County 911 says all roads have since reopened.
