Man arrested after allegedly breaking door of Monongalia County Sheriff's Office Processing Center

MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV)-- A man was arrested in Monongalia County after he allegedly broke a door to the Sheriff's office processing center July 2.

According to the criminal complaint, Brandon James Cress went to the processing center to find out more about his girlfriend's arrest. He was heard banging on the sallyport doors repeatedly.

According to the criminal complaint, Transport Officers found Cress using physical force to open the door and damaging the locking mechanism to the doors. The doors were working fine before Cress forced them open.

Cress was charged with destruction of property and the estimated damage is in excess of $2,500.
