Man arrested after allegedly sending messages to minor about sexual activity

RITCHIE COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) A man was arrested after he allegedly sent messages to a minor about plans about sexual activity.

According to the criminal complaint, Gregory McNeeley posted an ad on August 6 stating: "Bored; looking for a female chat (Parkersburg)" and "I have those moments when I am lonely and bored. I need that special someone of the female persuasion to fill my lonely hours."

According to police, the ad was answered by a 15-year-old girl.

Police say that McNeeley and the girl communicated back and forth over 100 times by email and text message between August 6 and August 7 about meeting up in Ellenboro.

McNeeley allegedly talked about performing sexual activities with the girl in his car.

According to police, McNeeley continued messaging the girl on August 8 to August 9. On August 10, McNeeley messaged the girl in the morning saying that they could meet at Dodd's hunting.

According to the criminal complaint, McNeeley arrived in Ellensboro in a Kia Soul at 1:20 p.m. and texted "I'm actually parked at the credit union. I'm the only car there."

Police say the McNeeley was arrested and interviewed.

According to police, McNeeley admitted to plans of meeting and having sex with the girl at the parking lot.
