Man arrested after he allegedly tried to flee from police on motorcycle

MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV)-- A man was arrested after he allegedly tried to flee from police on a motorcycle Wednesday.

According to the criminal complaint, police saw the motorcycle driving towards them on Montrose Ave.

According to police, when they turned on their emergency lights, the driver began swerving back and forth on the road. The driver attempted to go around the police car but struck the back of the car and lost control.

According to the criminal complaint, when the driver laid the motorcycle on its side, he took two steps back and ran into the front of another police car. The driver was identified as 39-year-old Brian Cutright.

According to police, when they search Cutright, they found methamphetamine in his front watch pocket.

Cutright was charged with fleeing in a vehicle and possession and is being held in North Central Regional Jail.
