Man charged with drug possession in Randolph County

ELKINS, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A man was arrested in Randolph County last week after he was found in possession of methamphetamine.

According to the criminal complaint, a police officer pulled into the GoMart on Railroad Avenue and noticed a car with an expired registration.

When the officer approached the car, 50-year-old Robert Junkins was inside and began to move around very suddenly, claiming he was looking for his identification.

According to the complaint, the officer asked if there was anything in the car for him to know about and Junkins said there wasn't. Due to the suspicious movements, the officer asked Junkins to get out of the car. When Junkins did, the officer found drug paraphernalia.

When officials searched the vehicle, meth was found.

Junkins is charged with possession with intent to deliver.
