Man charged with drug possession, obstructing an officer after incident in Morgantown

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A Morgantown man has been charged after he ran from police and drugs were found at his home.

According to the criminal complaint, police responded to a reported disturbance at a residence on Listravia Avenue Tuesday. When they arrived, 35-year-old Kashif Monk jumped out of a second-story window and did not cooperate with officers.

Police say a search warrant was executed at the home. During the search, officers found marijuana, Clonazepam, Xanax, and crack cocaine, as well as drug paraphernalia.

Monk is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and obstructing an officer.
