UPDATE: Conner Melton has been found, according to family members

MARION COUNTY, W. Va. (WDTV) --
According to family members, Conner Melton has been found.

According to his mother, Rebecca Melton, Conner was found just before 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.

His mom told us a friend saw him sitting on a bench at Palatine Park in Fairmont and called his mom.

Rebecca told us that Conner was picked up from the park by her husband.

The Marion County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's assistance finding a missing teen.

Conner Austin Melton was last seen by his parents on Thursday when they went to bed. According to the release, when the family woke up, Conner was not home.

Deputies told 5 News that his bicycle was later found along the guardrail on Meadowdale Road near Gabriel Brothers.

Deputies say someone matching Conner's description was reported seen via social media near Elkins Street and Morgantown Avenue in Fairmont. If you have any information that can help find Conner Melton, you're asked to call MCSD at (304) 367-5300
