UPDATE: Marion County reporting multiple accidents due to weather

MARION COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) -- UPDATE (10:17 a.m.)

According to Marion County 911 dispatch, crews responded to the scene of a single vehicle accident at 5:29 a.m. on the northbound side of I-79 at mile marker 135, which resulted in one person being taken to the hospital.

Also, crews responded to the scene of a single vehicle accident at 8:15 a.m. on the southbound side of I-79 at mile marker 132, which resulted in one person being taken to the hospital.

Overnight snow is transitioning to rain this morning and it's causing problems on several roadways.

Marion County 911 is reporting multiple accidents throughout the county, including on I-79 in both directions, Husky Highway near North Marion High School and White Hall Boulevard.

Drivers are advised to use extreme caution when heading out for their morning commute.
