Man wanted after drug bust in Fairmont

MARION COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) -- Fairmont Police are searching for a Fairmont man who escaped during a drug bust.

37-year-old Andrew Minger is wanted for conspiracy to commit a felony. Minger fled from a home on Brookside Drive while police were executing a search warrant.

Police say the incident began when a vehicle was pulled over leading to the discovery of cocaine and several hundred dollars with the two Michigan men inside. One of the men, Khalil Mathis, was wanted in Michigan for drug manufacturing.

The traffic stop led to the search warrant being executed at the home, where Minger and another Michigan man fled. The other man was caught. Cocaine, prescription medications, and a handgun were found in the home.

Mathis, along with Demario Jones and Alvin Howard, have been charged with possession with intent to deliver.
