UPDATE: Morgantown man arrested after fatally shooting woman during domestic dispute, deputies say

A Morgantown man was arrested after he shot and killed a woman during a domestic dispute last month, deputies say.

Donald Davis, 73, has been charged with voluntary manslaughter.

According to the Monongalia County Sheriff's Office, on April 29, Davis shot and killed Tamitha Pillo, 51, of Morgantown, during a domestic dispute.

Davis was arraigned at the Monongalia County Magistrate Court, deputies say. He was released on bond.

A Morgantown woman was shot and killed following a domestic incident Wednesday morning, deputies said.

According to a news release from the Monongalia County Sheriff's Office, deputies received a call about shooting around 12:45 a.m.

The incident happened on Babbling Brook Road off of Tyrone Road.

According to deputies, Tamitha Pillo, 51, was shot and killed. Her stepfather reported the domestic incident. She suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest with a .380 caliber pistol.

There is no immediate threat to the community, deputies said. The incident remains under investigation.

A woman is dead following a shooting incident on Babbling Brook Road Wednesday morning.

According to a news release from the Monongalia County Sheriff's Office, deputies and Morgantown Police officers responded to a shooting at 12:45 a.m. at Babbling Brook Road off of Tyrone Road.

When officers arrived, they discovered a female at the home had been shot.

EMS transported the woman to Ruby Memorial Hospital, according to the Sheriff's Office. She died as a result of her injuries.

The Sheriff's Office says no names have been released at this time, and no arrests have been made.
