More than 100,000 people without power in Eastern North Carolina

EASTERN CAROLINA (WITN) - As the outer bands of Hurricane Florence push across the east, more than 100,000 people are already without power.

By 11pm Thursday, electric companies and cooperatives reported more than 100,000 people without power. That number is greater than 166,000 for all of North Carolina.

Here is a break down of outage reports:

Greenville Utilities Commission:
Roughly 700 customers are currently without power, primarily in the areas of Winterville and Stokestown.

Dominion Energy:
661 customers are currently without power.

Duke Energy Progress:
Thousands of customers are without power across ENC.

Pamlico County -- 32,878
Craven County -- 13,522
Jones County -- 1,791
Onslow County -- 14,240
Pender County -- 4,816
Wayne County -- 1,177

Jones-Onslow Electric Membership Corporation:
More than 23,000 customers are currently without power.

Tideland EMC:
More than 12,000 customers are currently without power across Beaufort, Craven, Hyde, Pamlico and Washington counties.

Roanoke Electric Cooperative:
No current outages.

Martin County Electric Membership Cooperative:
Only one current outage reported.

Carteret-Craven Electric Cooperative:
40,149 customers are currently without power.
