Morgantown man arrested for allegedly threatening hotel staff

MARION COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A Morgantown man has been arrested after he allegedly threatened staff at a local hotel.

According to the criminal complaint, 39-year-old Christopher Lasher had been staying at the Quality Inn on Airport Road in Fairmont when staff asked him to leave. They told police that Lasher started arguing and police were called to help.

Lasher allegedly told a staff member that was getting information for police that if they talked to police or if he or his friend got into trouble, then he would return and shoot them. Officials say Lasher then allegedly took out a hammer and threatened staff with it, which allowed him to leave.

While cleaning the room, staff found .22 caliber live rounds in the room.

Lasher is charged with threats of terroristic acts.
