UPDATE: Man arrested in connection to Morgantown stabbing

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WDTV) - UPDATE 2/25/2019 9:30 a.m.
Morgantown police arrested Thomas Ray Martin, 22, of Westover, in connection to a stabbing on Pietro Street.

He was charged with one count of malicious wounding and was arraigned on $5,000 bond.

Officials said he surrendered himself Friday after an arrest warrant was obtained last Tuesday.

Morgantown Police are investigating a stabbing that happened overnight on Pietro Street.

According to a press release, officers responded to a reported stabbing shortly after midnight. Officials said the victim had four stab wounds. They said none seemed life-threatening.

The victim was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital. Their condition has not been released.

Detectives continue to follow up on leads but said they believed it was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
