NUTTER FORT, W. Va. (WDTV) - The Harrison Rail-Trails board and advisory board met at Freedom Baptist Church in Nutter Fort on Oct. 24.
They had a chance to mention some upcoming improvements in various trails. They say there's some areas that have gaps and would like to close.
The boards also want to bring awareness to the community and have partnered with the county. At the same time, they have received hundreds of dollars worth of donations from different partners.
"It's very exciting news for us because we have about 500 feet of big water holes that are in-passible on part of this trail," said Diana Druga, president of Harrison Rail-Trails. "I've been here for 27 years and those holes have been really deep in that time, so we're looking forward so this can become a real trail."
Harrison Rail-Trails will have events during the winter and starting next year. For more information, visit harrisonrailtrails.org.
