NUTTER FORT, W.Va. (WDTV)-- According to the Nutter Fort Volunteer Fire Department Facebook page firefighters saved a kitten trapped in the engine compartment of a car.

Today around 3:20p.m., a concerned citizen stopped by the Nutter Fort VFD and told members of the department that they believed a kitten was trapped in the engine compartment of their vehicle.

Upon further investigation, VFD members found one small kitten trapped in the frame of the vehicle.

It took a long time to get the kitten out, but the kitten was freed with no injury. The kitten has been taken to the proper authorities to be properly cared for.
