One person in custody after leading multi-county pursuit

BARBOUR COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A man is in custody after leading a multi-county pursuit which ended with him crashing into a cruiser Wednesday night.

According to the Barbour County Sheriff's Department, officers responded to a pursuit of a truck stolen out of Preston County. The driver, identified as Christopher Larew, then went through Taylor County and into Barbour County.

Officials say deputies caught up to Larew on Route 57 and the pursuit ended when Larew rammed into the back of one of the cruisers.

Larew was taken into custody without incident. There is no word on if anyone was hurt during the pursuit.
