Philippi home damaged in fire

PHILIPPI, W.Va. (WDTV)-- A fire damaged a home in Barbour County Sunday afternoon.

Fire crews were called to a home on Maple Avenue in Philippi around 12:30 p.m.

No one was in the home at the time of the fire.

There's no word on what caused the blaze.

The State Fire Marshal's Office is being called in to investigate. Philippi Fire Department, Belington Fire, Junior Fire, Barbour County Emergency Squad, Barbour County Sheriff's Department, and Philippi Police all responded.
