UPDATE: Missing Buckhannon man returns home

The missing alert for Ronnie Grumbine has been canceled, according to the City of Buckhannon's Facebook page.

The post say per the Buckhannon Police Department, the alert was canceled this morning.

Grumbine is home safe, according to the post.

Police say that 58-year-old Ronnie Grumbine disappeared August 30 and was last seen at his home in Buckhannon on Liggett Addition Road around 8:20pm. Police say this isn't the first time Grumbine has gone missing but say he usually comes back on his own.

Police say that Grumbine was spotted on route 30 in Lewis county at approximately 7:20 p.m. on August 30. Police believe Grumbine then went to his home around 8:20 pm and hasn't been seen since.

"We're believing he came back home and left in the truck," said Lt. Doug Loudin.

Police say that Grumbine is possibly driving a silver 2019 Toyota Tacoma with West Virigina handicap registration 37832.

Loudin says he doesn't know the exact reason why Grumbine has gone missing but is hoping that he will come home or let police know that he is safe.

"Not only is this an opportunity to get this missing person's report out there but it's also if he's listening," said Loudin. "Gives him an opportunity to contact us and explain to us why and what his wishes are and if he needs help."

The Buckhannon Police Department is searching for a missing man.

According to the city of Buckhannon, 58-year-old Ronnie Grumbine was last seen on August 30 at his home on Liggett Addition. Grumbine is possibly driving a Silver 2019 Toyota Tacoma with WV Handicap Registration plate of 37832.

Grumbine is 5'10" with gray hair.
