Police searching for missing WVU student with history of depression

The Morgantown Police Department is searching for David Thompson, a 23-year-old West Virginia University student from Santa Ana, California.

Thompson has been missing since Thursday, May 4. His mother told police that her son has a history of depression.

He drives a four-door, dark gray, 2012 Honda Civic with California registration plate 6TBB524.

Police said that there does not appear to be any foul play associated with his disappearance.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information regarding Thompson's well-being and/or whereabouts is asked to call the Morgantown Police Department at 304-284-7522.


Police tell 5 News they're looking for a missing 23-year-old West Virginia University student, who has a history of depression.

According to the Morgantown Police Department, David Thompson was last seen May 4 at around 2:30 a.m. Police aren't able to tell us where specifically he was last seen, but they say it was in the Morgantown area.
