Shack Quack Family Festival kicked off in Star City

STAR CITY, W.Va. (WDTV)-- Several people came out to the Shack Quack Family Festival in Star City for activities and to help raise money for a fundraiser.

Several people came out to Star City for the Shack Quack Family Festival.

The event held their annual rubber duck race and the event allows the community to come out for family-friendly activities.

The winner of the duck race will receive a $1,500 prize and all proceeds goes towards the Shack Neighborhood House. Officials say that event held several other events and say that there was something for everyone.

"Today we have a car show, bouncy houses, free popcorn and concession and we have a lot of families here having a good time," said Executive Director, Tia Lasporgara.
