WHITE HALL, W.Va. (WDTV) - The Marion County Sheriff's Department treated a group of kids to shop with a cop, Sunday.

A group of children shopped with a law enforcement officers for about an hour. The money used were donations from the county.

The child and officer pairs toured the store and picked out a handful of items. Pictures with Santa were also available. Deputy Brian Speakman says this was the best turnout the program has had in years.

"The cops took us around and giving us Christmas presents because they're being really nice people," one of the shoppers, Arrora Mcatee says.

"I just found out I was coming this morning, so I was pretty shocked," Sierra Fredrick says.

"Getting a laptop and making fun of the police officer walking around with me," Mcatee says.
