South Carolina man charged after admitting to having sex with minor while working at local university

HARRISON COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A South Carolina man has been charged after admitting to having oral sex with a minor in his care in Harrison County.

According to the criminal complaint, a 17-year-old that had been in the Upward Bound program at Salem International University last July told officers that she had oral sex twice with 21-year-old Marqui Grant, who was an advisor at the program during that time.

Officials say Grant admitted to police that the incidents had occurred.

Grant is charged with sexual assault by a parent, guardian, or a person in a position of trust.
