HARRISON COUNTY, W. Va. (WDTV) - The South Harrison High School held a benefit for one of their teachers that needs it.

Babs Smith fell ill and was no longer able to teach her choir class.

The students and faculty decided to come together and raise money by putting on a spaghetti dinner and craft show.

Plenty of people came out to support the former South Harrison teacher and do some Christmas shopping at all of the craft vendors that showed up.

"She had a lot of kids under her, and a lot of amazing show choirs and regular choirs" said Diane Reynolds former booster officer.

"Like Diane said, she taught for over 30 years and they gave our kids opportunities that many of them would have never gotten had they not been in show choir" said Sarah Barratt former booster officer.

All of the money raise will go toward Babs and her family to help with whatever they need.
