BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. (WDTV) - A low-pressure system that has caused numerous severe storms in the center of the country moves east into WV on Friday. The good news is that the overall threat for severe storms in our area is quite low.
It appears that strong winds are the main threat, perhaps the only one. While there can be some heavy rain, it doesn't look like enough coverage of storms to bring flooding.
There does not appear to be a hail or tornado threat. But we'll watch all storms just to make sure. The good news is that the bulk of the activity will be after dark. Limiting the overall threat for severe weather.
