BRIDGEPORT, W. Va (WDTV) - Severe storms brought hail, wind damage, power outages, and flooding to NCWV on Monday. These storms had the benefit of a lot of sunshine prior to their trek through NCWV. This allowed temperatures to rise into the 80s with 'decent' humidity as well. This combination meant that thunderstorms were going to be strong in our area...and they were.
On Tuesday, less humid conditions with slightly cooler air will be in place. Storms could still be severe, but the total percentage storms that become so will be less than Monday. Strong winds and hail still possibilities on Tuesday.
We are even expecting less coverage of storms to materialize Tuesday. Therefore, a smaller number of storms appearing and a smaller percent of those becoming severe means an overall low threat for any one location to get severe weather Tuesday.
