UPDATE: One person taken to Pittsburgh burn center after house fire

The house fire started around 7:30 Thursday morning on Pearlman Avenue in Clarksburg.

One person was taken to a Pittsburgh burn center following a house fire early Thursday morning.

According to James Green of the Clarksburg Fire Department, the house fire was suspicious.

According to Harrison County 911 dispatch, the house fire began around 7:30 a.m. on Pearlman Avenue.

There were three people in the house at the time, 911 officials said.

Green said the injured victim was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital where he remains.

The two other people made it out of the house, according to Green.

Clarksburg Fire Department and Harrison County EMS responded.

Green says a fire inspector is still determining the fire's cause.

One person has been taken to the hospital by helicopter after a house fire in Clarksburg on Thursday morning.

According to Harrison County 911 dispatch, the house fire began around 7:30 a.m. on Pearlman Avenue.

There were three people in the house at the time, and 911 dispatch confirmed one victim was burned and had to be transported by helicopter to the hospital.

The Clarksburg Fire Department said neighbors got the residents out of the home before they arrived on scene.

The fire has been extinguished, but crews are still investigating the cause.
