The EQT Foundation and the American Heart Association teamed up to teach the kids hands-only CPR. Hundreds of thousands of people suffer sudden cardiac arrest, out of the hospital, annually. According to statistics, nearly 90 percent of those people die because they did not receive CPR.

Students learned there's two simple things they can do if they see this happen. First, call 911, then push hard and fast in the center of the chest.

The EQT Foundation funding will also help teach hands-only CPR to students in Harrison, Gilmer, Marion, Ritchie and Wetzel counties this year.
