BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. (WDTV) - The combination of clear skies and calm winds have allowed temperatures to plummet down into the 30's overnight, but we will soar into some summer-like temperatures later this afternoon. Sunny, cloudless skies will warm us into the 70's on Tuesday afternoon. Currently, under the influence of high pressure, clouds will steer free of NCWV.
This afternoon, temperatures will climb 10 degrees above average, but the warmest air is still yet to come. Temperatures will skyrocket tomorrow into the mid-80's. By Friday, our next cold front is on the move bringing some showers and thunderstorms to the region. We cool off slightly for the weekend but still remain above average for this time of year with 70's to stick around into the start of the next work week as well.
