Survey names Grafton the safest city in state to live

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A new survey based on FBI data found that several North Central West Virginia cities are among the safest in the state.

The website (which researches information for cities around the nation) researched the information based on the FBI's most recent Uniform Crime Reports. That research found that Grafton is the safest place to live in the state for 2019.

Morgantown ranked #4 on the list and Fairmont ranked #7. Buckhannon followed Fairmont at #8, and Bridgeport rounds out the list at #10.
