The Coal Forum issues statement against Morgantown City Council decision

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WDTV) -- The Coal Forum issued a statement Monday against the Morgantown City Council’s decision to work towards upholding provisions of the Paris Climate Agreement.

In it, the organization states upholding the provisions would hurt the local economy by being an “affront to every single coal miner, manager and vendor that works tireless to keep coal mines running.”

The organization also says upholding the provisions would be going against the actions of President Trump, whom West Virginia voted for.
