Traffic still backed up after tractor trailer rollover

LOST CREEK, W.Va. (WDTV) - UPDATE: 2:48 PM: According to Harisson County 911 traffic is still backed up along I79 after the tractor trailer accident. No word at this time on when it will be clear.

UPDATE 12:40 PM: Traffic is slowly moving on I-79 near Lost Creek after a tractor trailer rolled over Thursday morning. Crews were able to get the trailer over to the left shoulder so that cars can pass on the right.

Crews on scene hope to have traffic flow fully restored by 1:30 Thursday afternoon.

There is still no word on what caused the tractor trailer to roll over. Stay with 5 News for continued updates.

ORIGINAL STORY:

One lane of I-79 near Lost Creek is blocked after a tractor trailer rolled over Thursday morning.

The accident happened just after 11:00 a.m. on I-79 near the 109 mile marker. The southbound lane is blocked in that area.

No one was hurt in this accident.

Crews from Lost Creek, Stonewood and Jane Lew Fire Departments along with Anmoore EMS were alerted. West Virginia State Police are investigating this accident.
