Train crashed into a vehicle in Barbour County
According to the Philippi Police Department on Tuesday, Philippi Police Department the West Virginia State Police, and the Barbour County Sheriff's Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash between a train and a passenger vehicle.
The crash was at the railroad crossing on North Main Sreet.
Investigation showed that a delivery van had parallel parked on the railroad right of way next to the tracks.
The A&O railroad that had two engines and 90 cars was traveling north when they came upon the parked vehicle and struck it.
According to Philippi Police the vehicle was empty at the time and there were no injuries.
