RANDOLPH COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV)-- Friends and family of T.F.C. Tallman lined the streets of Elkins as Tallman was escorted by a convoy of emergency service vehicles to his home Tuesday.

T.F.C. Tallman returned to Elkins in a convoy of emergency vehicles.

At around 2 p.m. traffic was halted by police and troopers as the convoy went by.

One of the families lined along the street was the Howell family who brought signs and waved American flags as T.F.C. Tallman approached.

"We are grateful to have him come back. He does a great job serving this community keeping it safe and protected along with all the other Troopers and we are just thankful he was able to return to us," said Ashley Howell.
