Two arrested in Elkins on drug charges

RANDOLPH COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) -- Two people were arrested in Elkins Thursday after police say they were found with drugs.

According to the criminal complaint, officers pulled over a car on 11th Street for an improper registration and suspicion of the driver being under the influence. The driver was identified as Gina Mccauley. When asked, police say Mccauley told them there was nothing in the vehicle to tell them about.

Officials say when Mccauley opened her purse, officers spotted suspiciously looking pills. Mccauley then admitted that there were pills in the car and later said there was a gun on the passenger side of the car.

Upon searching the car, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found. Mccauley is charged with possession with intent to deliver.

The passenger in the vehicle, Matthew Liscomb, is charged with conspiracy.
