Two men dead in Upshur County crash

UPSHUR COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV)-- Two men are dead after a crash in Upshur County.

According to authorities, the accident happened on Thursday at 7:45 pm on Route 20 north, just south of the 119 intersection. The vehicle was herding south when it lost control, went side ways, and through a fence.

Both the driver and passenger were thrown from the car. The driver, Candelario Ledezma, 24, passed away at the scene. The passenger, William Dakota, 24, was flown to Hodgesville School and taken to St. Joseph's Hospital where he later passed away.

Authorities said speed was a factor in the accident.
