Two men are facing drug charges after an incident at the Euro Suites hotel in Morgantown.

According to the criminal complaint, an officer was doing a safety check on the hotel at around 1:30 a.m. when they noticed a pickup truck with some of its lights on in the hotel's rear parking lot.

Officials say the officer pulled off and watched the truck when they noticed its interior lights turn off and a man getting into the truck. After several minutes, the officer approached the truck and identified the driver as Douglas Kniceley of Jane Lew and the passenger as Oscar Watkins Jr. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The officer said that when he spoke to Kniceley and Watkins, their eyes were glassy and bloodshot and he could smell marijuana coming from the car. A K-9 was brought to the scene and positively alerted to narcotics in the truck.

Officers found 495 grams of methamphetamine, several Xanax bars, a small amount of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia in the truck. Officials say a large amount of cash was found on Watkins.

Both men are charged with delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act.
