Two people arrested near Buckhannon with multiple drugs, "large sum" of money

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. (WDTV) - The Mountain Lakes Drug and Violent Crime Unit arrested two people near Buckhannon with heroin, meth, oxycodone, and a "large sum of U.S. currency."

Johnna Courtney and Garry Moran were arrested on outstanding warrants from Marion and Upshur Counties, the Upshur County Sheriff's Department announced Friday.

Members of the crime unit and sheriff's department searched a home on Hall Road near Buckhannon and found the drugs and money.

Officials said the drug-related investigation is ongoing. They did not immediately provide specific amounts of drugs and money they seized.
