HARRISON COUNTY, W. Va. (WDTV) -- UPDATE: A public hearing for Nicewarner is set for August 8th at 10:15 a.m. in front of Magistrate Tammy Marple.
UPDATE: Harrison County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mark Manchin has denied reports that Joshua Nicewarner will be terminated in a Board of Education meeting Tuesday.
According to reports, Manchin said that action cannot be taken until due process is complete. Manchin has recommended Nicewarner's termination, however.
It is possible that an interim football coach will be named during Tuesday's BOE meeting.
UPDATE: Reports indicate that Nicewarner knew the victim.
Bridgeport High School football coach Joshua Daniel Nicewarner, 34, was arraigned on two felony counts Friday, accused of sending and requesting inappropriate videos and pictures from a 14-year-old girl.
Nicewarner, who is also a teacher at Liberty High School, is charged with soliciting a minor via a computer and the use of obscene matter with intent to seduce a minor.
The arraignment came just hours after police executed search warrants on Bridgeport High School field house and Liberty High School.
Harrison County Sheriff Lt. Detective Rob Waybright claims Nicewarner sent videos and pictures to the girl. He also allegedly asked for pictures in return.
Waybright alleges this transpired over the course of two months. He said the girl's parents are the ones who came forward with the allegations.
Nicewarner has been suspended without pay from the Harrison County School District.
Dr. Mark Manchin, superintendent of Harrison County Schools, says he will recommend that Nicewarner be terminated at next week's school board meeting.
Nicewarner post bond Friday, paying $20,000 in cash.
