U.S. Senators Manchin and Capito announce funding for West Virginia airports

WASHINGTON (WDTV)-- U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) announced more than $4 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation for the Charleston Yeager Airport and North Central West Virginia Airport, according to Manchin's office.

According to Manchin's office, the funding will help with runway improvements, airport drainage improvements and purchasing new snow removal and deicing equipment.

Manchin says that the funding will help these airports implement improvements and repairs necessary to operate.

Capito says that they can make the state's airports safer and more efficient for passangers and commerce by improving the infrastructure of these airports.
