USDA recognizes The Homeownership Center

The Homeownership Center in Elkins was recognized by the USDA Rural Development for helping people become home owners in rural areas.

The recognition comes as part of National Homeownership Month where the USDA is recognizing centers that use USDA tools and resources to help rural Americans become home owners.

"We have had a series of events recognizing facilities just like The Homeownership Center here for their excellent work. So we presented two certificates today. They've just been amazing." said Kris Warner, the State Director of USDA Rural Development.

Las year, The Homeownership Center celebrated their 1,000th person they have helped become a home owner.
